Klisia (κλισία) is a Greek word that occurs only once in the New Testament (hapax legomenon) and means “a group of people eating together” (BDAG). It is found when Jesus multiplies five loaves of bread and two fishes:
“(Now about five thousand men were there.) Then he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” (Luke 9:14, NET)
